In 1979 Lagotronics started life as a drive-in discotheque. The first projects gradually started appearing later; light and audio installations for dance schools, discotheques and pubs and bars.
The solid solutions and excellent service resulted in the rapid and healthy expansion of Lagotronics. The first major projects for Dutch television production companies were realised in 1985 and acted as an impulse to further expansion. At the time Lagotronics started to invest in the development of high-tech solutions able to match the needs of modern television productions. Together with Endemol Entertainment, Lagotronics started operating in many other countries.

In 1995 Lagotronics opened a branch in Portugal, initially to support the local Endemol Entertainment team. Later their activities spread to include involvement in a range of big television productions and other related projects. Lagotronics continued to grow in various countries including Germany, Belgium, the UK, Italy and Spain.

Thanks to its excellent reputation and leading market position in the field of customer oriented electronic solutions, many other companies discovered the potential offered by Lagotronics.

Lagotronics currently installs complete computer controlled special effects systems for attractions and rides in countless theme parks.
