Glen De Boeck hands in resignation
Glen De Boeck has decided to resign as VVV-Venlo head coach with immediate effect. The coach arrived at this decision after discussing his position with the club’s technical staff and Board in the past few days.
Glen De Boeck indicates that his expectations with respect to the group at the time of his appointment appear not to be in line with the current state of affairs. For him, this has created a situation that makes optimum performance impossible. De Boeck also indicates that mutual relations with the technical staff, the board and the Group of players are fine. “I cannot deliver what I want to myself. It is a well-considered decision, which is totally mine”, says De Boeck.
The VVV-Venlo Board consider it most regrettable that the coach has taken this step but respect his decision. The club will consider the resultant situation and will set to work to find a solution for both the short and the long term. “We find ourselves in an awkward situation now and are going to do our best to find a solution”, says Mario Captein.
